Skye is a very lucky orca to be alive when she was a calf her mother was killed by boat propellers skye was left alone without her mothers guidance her aunt started to raise skye and soon after skye's 15th birthday her aunt passed away from a difficult birth and was found washed up on shore . Skye was never really the same after her mother's and Aunt's death she was seen by researchers crying and vocalizing while swimming around the shore where her deceased aunt was washed up a few days later skye intentionally washed herself up onto the beach , a group of young people saw her and called the orca rescue group where they managed to get her back into the ocean. A few days later she was washed up again on the same beach but this time she was trying to catch a meal which resulted in her 2nd stranding again she was rescued and put back into the ocean after another 5 years she became a Matriarch and soon after she gave birth to her first calf which was later declared a baby boy and was named Sebastian by public vote . a few months after her calf received it's name researchers where shocked when they saw that both Skye and Sebastian had deep boat propellers injuries. it was suggested that skye had pushed her calf out of the way of a speeding boat which resulted in skye getting the worse of the injuries. Skye is more a wear of boats and is now in calf and is due very soon
